Despite the bad weather condition in China, which worries me a lot ...I am glad to see the picture of my kids and other students and these is what the team leader wrote:
Group Two, Early morning start to look at all the sights in Xian. Still loads of snow and student excited. Started with the Xian city wall walk. All pretending to be soldiers - how did they survive without thermal underwear! The museum on the wall had a feng shui grand master who taught all of us about the art of Feng Shui. All students have now planned to reorganize their homes. Wild Goose Pagoda next - a spiritual time for the group as we climbed 7 floors top the top of the Pagoda. Great views of Xian.Terracotta army Pottery next. Saw how they made the statues 2200 years ago and the pottery is using the same methods now. Then we went to see the real army. Nothing can prepare you for the sight of the soldiers and horses in Pit one. It was surreal. All the photos you see on our return captures some of the magic of the place.Royal hot springs (see photo). every river and lake is frozen apart from the hot spring area. Eventually, off to the airport- delayed flight. Arrived Beijing at midnight.Great students. No complaints from them even though they were exhausted after such a long day. They were great to be with.

A beautiful day

This morning, I decided to bring my kid for a walk along Muttrah souk. We walked along the clean and winding pavement. It was a beautiful morning, with loads of sunshine and the cool breeze, makes me want to stroll more. The opportunity to walk like this can only be done during winter time. For us, I don't know about others. Otherwise in the summer, the heat will make your head spin and the smell from the fish market nearby will make your blood rush to your tummy.... If you know what i mean.
We enjoyed the beautiful walk anyway.
what's for breakfast?
Woke up this morning and and all I could think of is the smell of the crispy roti canai at one of the Indian Restaurant in Ruwi. They call it "porata" here.Since I am on the way to drop my son's friend to his work attachment so I might as well visit the restaurant. I brought along my baby and the nanny. There, we had poratas with chicken masala. Only remember to took out my camera after we had finished eating .Hahaa.. So maybe next time I post the picture of the hot yummy masala...

Good Morning
I woke up this morning with a severe backache, no I didn't do any weight lifting . I guess it's the cold weather again. I had a backbone problem . I am always getting this despite the 200 x 200 kingsize bed that we bought 3years ago. It really helps though but sometimes when its too cold outside, it will trigger back. What a lazy day for me and it's drizzling outside and I could sleep the whole day but today I have to go to collect my kids passports at the China Embassy before noon. Again lucky them...their school trip is to go to China. Next year I am planning to visit China & Xian too... =)
