Been sick for two days. Hopefully will recover soon and will start blogging ..:(

Garden

I was in the garden today.
Some of the plants seems to be dying and turned yellow and some are just surviving.

It needs watering at least twice a day as the summer heat is settling in now. Nonetheless the roses are blossom & giving beautiful colours in the garden. As I was snapping away, I notice the papaya tree is bearing a fruit. So as the dates," buah kurma" which hubby plants like 4years back is giving flowers from the stem which then can be eaten only sometimes July or August.

It's Hazim's 13th birthday today. Being 13...he wants an electric guitar for his birthday present...... !

Been looking high & low for that particular guitar for the last couple of days..it seems that he wants to get a guitar from the UAE.

I guess another guitar hunting trip for me this weekend. :P Yahoooooooo!

DINE IN

A nice restaurant with totally different concept.Two types of menus to choose from either non veggie or the vegetarian dishes. We took the first option.

That night we had the signature kabab,grilled c'ken, lamb chop, sish kabab, briyani and four different types of desserts. Food were well marinated though very spicy.

I think they should have a la carte menu to cater for the kids.

Long weekend....

Nothing much to do over the long weekend so we just spent the weekend around City centre and

brought our son to the playground :)

The car park at theCity centre were also full due to the long weekend. Anyway we were lucky that we got to park besides the noodle house entrance. Stayed for a couples of hours and before heading home we grabbed some books at "Borders".

Beauty Theraphy

The thought of being pampered rose this morning. I thought it would be great to pay a visit to the beauty spa. After all it's been a while that the skin on my face has not been given a special TLC . So this afternoon it was a real deal for me....a beauty session plus a massage.

Ayana is a full service spa. They have Thai massage, Balinese massage, Swedish massage,sports massage etc. They offered body treatments and waxing, to manicures and pedicures too.

The atmosphere was calm and serene. The rooms are such a heavens... equipped with soft music that can put your mind at rest. I chose a special treatment called" diamond dermabrasion" facial. A treatment using a real diamond. It involves a gentle exfoliation of the top layer of the skin and remove the dead cell in order to maintain its elasticity and helps blood flow and helps the dull looking skin glow . The result , skin is clear, clean, soft and supple. It's really worth trying.

The shoulder and back massage was good as it released the tension away. Followed by a warm ginger drinks ..... ends my day at the spa.

My next visit... I will give the "Chocolate" spa a go. l don't know how it's done but I am sure it will be fun.

......imagine myself covered with those sugary chemical.... :P

Beach walk

We had a walked at Shatti beach just to enjoy the view. The weather was just nice. It was slightly warmer in the afternoon though.

I was rather late but in time to take the picture of sunset. It was so beautiful. During this time of the year a lot of people especially picnickers coming to the beach and some health conscious people doing their routine exercise.

Phewww, I wish I could jog a few kilometres like others did but I think I just start with the brisk walk ....haha don't think I could run that far. :P

Big Bike weekend

The festival kicks off in the morning and last for hours. The crowd were amazing. There were lots of entertainment and kids get to ride on the super bike around the club passing the beach and back.... I am not that an adventurous person to ride.The thundering sound from the motorbike really makes my heartbeat jumps....... so we just shoot.

sleepless

I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep .While others are snoring away laced with beautiful dreams . It's 2am. I am wide awake. Is it because of the spicy Briyani that I had for dinner ?
Or is it the Durian cake from our outing today ?
I grabbed a tabloid which was lying on the floor and flip through the pages. It was outdated, I didn't manage to get the latest" Y" this week , but I kept reading hoping to dozed off straight after ...but I am still having insomnia.
It's 4am now as we speak. In a few hours time the sun will rise and ....I will return to my bed and try to get some sleep to compensate the sleepless night. :(

p.s it's almost 4.30am now.....Zzzz

Fresh from the Oven.....

I have not baked anything for the kids lately. So I made them some egg tarts this afternoon.

I reached my alarm clock... it's 6am. I heard the kids were talking at the corridor and getting ready for school. The school bus will arrive at 6.40am. My daughter will have her last Science test today. I hope she will do well in her exams. Amin...



I took my phone out and I got a message reads " Bah laju tah minum.....jgn akhir mandi."


I scratched my head and thought what in the whole wideworld is she thinking... I didn't reply
just yet. I thought of staying home and do the usual stuff...chatting with my sis.

Later I heard there's another message coming. She never give up, does she??

So I replied " yes...err ok but only after 10am".


So I drove downtown and to be honest the traffic is making me crazy. As soon as I arrived I saw her at the corner of the cafe smiling..... wide enough to be seen from a distance.

Cheezy Pasta

My daughter complained that I didn't cook pasta anymore.....So this morning I rummaged through my pantry and found an Italian pasta n a box of cream. Found some button mushroom and chicken breast in the fridge. Perfecto!!!It takes less than an hour to cook ....put it in the oven and its done!
Oh well, she's on the way from school now and I bet she must be hungry!

Ikea Garden

We had breakfast in Ikea restaurant.
Full house

We drove to Dubai over the weekend.

The journey took us about 4.5hours.

We stopped at the fuel station to refuel and to strecth our legs.

The children were great to be with no complain and they slept half way through.

A beautiful day and windy.

As we entered Dubai Makhtoum bridge the road were full of traffic.

It's rush hour.

The check in time for most hotel here is 2pm.Star Boutique Apartment is just around the corner so we are not in hurry to check in.

We had lunch at city centre. Later more shoppings and in the evening we had dinner at Burjuman.

Tomorrow is Ikea & Festival city.

Dragon mart on the way home.

At 5.30pm slowly cruising back to Oman and reached oman at 10.30pm Friday night. The compartment of our 4 wheel drives were fully loaded. Hubby make sure there's a place for us to seat. :P

Breakfast at Lotus..

My tummy is making a funny rumbling sound. We had to stop for a while to get something to bite. Lotus cafe in Al Khamis Plaza is still up and running and it has a new colour scheme. This cafe was temporarily closed after the cyclone. I like this cafe as it has a peaceful seating area surrounded by water fountains and also surrounded by shops too. :P
